After a long day of digging graves in the shallow Lancaster County sun, there is no finer reward than a slice from Rosa Rosa (or "My Place" as referenced by its most endearing patrons). You come from the 'sghetters pizza, which is #1 in the area by a landslide, but keep returning for the mouthwatering buffalo chicken and taco options.
I am like a baby tortoise trudging my way through the moonlit beach towards my new oceanic home every time I make my way through My Place's doors and view the wide spread of slices that beckon me towards yet another savory experience.
Not feeling pizza today? I cannot relate to you. However, they do offer subs-a-plenty and other Italian treats that will guarantee an audible moan of satisfaction upon consumption.
Rosa Rosa is in the top 5% of pizza-based establishments in the area. I was slightly disappointed that their liquor license had been sold upon reopening from their devastating fire (which Pizza Hut is most likely responsible for), but their BYOB policy quickly exited any unsure feelings of Rosa Rosa stepping down from their throne any time soon. -

Grand Re-Opening this weekend!! Hours are 5-10 p.m. for now. I'll take it!! This place has been closed for two years and they're finally back! A true neighborhood establishment.
Renovations were much needed and now the space is updated, has better flow for ordering and looks beautiful. During the closure, the liquor license was sold and now is BYO. The booths have been removed and the back seating area is lighter and got a much needed face lift.
The spaghetti pizza was just as I remembered! So happy to have them back! -

Finally gave them another try since the re-opening. Wish I hadn't.
First impression:
Zero character. Also it's BYOB now, so basically exactly the same offerings as the other three pizza place I can see from their front door.
Service: 15 people working there, none seem to have a clue what's going on... unless you ask them about the soccer game they are all watching.
Food: I'd rather eat the box than eat their pizza again. It would taste nearly identical. Fries were ok. Mozz stix were undercooked and mealy.
Last impression: nostalgia can be a powerful tool and will likely keep them afloat along with their location, but anyone who tell you their food is good is crazy. And if you walk in for old-times-sake you're going to be pretty disappointed in the bland interior you see now.
I'd rather support a local biz but I'll choose Pats if I have to. Or better yet go a few blocks to Steel Peel, Antonio's, Dominion, Carusos... you get the idea. -

Since I moved to PA, every pizzeria I tried has been a let down except this one. When I tell you this is the closet pizza to NY pizza. I love them every time I've ordered. I am always satisfied.

We got two different pizzas last evening on National Pizza Day! One with extra cheese and one with pepperoni, green peppers and mushrooms. The pizza had great flavor and the sauce was very good. We will definitely be back! The only thing that wasn't great was the crust...it was very thick and a little tough. Other than that, though, we recommend!
